A PR & Events Manager / Media Relations Executive is needed to join a fast moving charity that specialises in physical activity and sport. Joining on a part time basis (60% FTE), expect an exciting and varied role delivering a superb PR strategy based on creative, social movements campaigns and events. 

With a vision to make everyone in Gloucestershire active every day, this forward thinking, dynamic charity is driving positive change through insight services, events, training, consultancy, advice, funding and much more. They are now seeking a PR & Events Manager / Media Relations Executive to increase awareness of the brand, products and services. 

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications the PR & Events Manager / Media Relations Executive will ensure a strong relationship with the county’s online and offline news media. On a day-to-day basis expect to write creative and coherent press releases and presentations; organise and attend promotional events (forums, conferences, open days, tours and visits); speak publically at interviews, press conferences and presentations; set editorial direction for content; manage a database of media contacts; deal with enquiries from the public, press and other organisations and anything else necessary to drive social change and engagement. 

To qualify…You should be a PR & Events Manager / Media Relations Executive / PR & Events Executive / PR & Events Specialist / Events Manager / Public Relations Executive / Media Executive / Senior PR Executive/ Events Coordinator / Media Relations Coordinator or similar with a CV that demonstrates: 
  • Experience in a similar PR / Events / Media Relations role;
  • A strong understanding of public relations, media and events management;
  • Experience of the not-for-profit / public service sectors:
  • Excellent content and editorial skills;
  • Event design and management skills;
  • Strong presentation skills;
  • Superb organisation skills.
